The Travel Foundation is an organisation dedicated to ensuring that tourism delivers the greatest possible benefit to destinations around the world, helping communities and environments thrive into the future.


They approached us to create a short animated explainer for “The Invisible Burden of Tourism” , a report produced in partnership with Cornell University and EplerWood International. The goal was to communicate the core idea: that behind the visible success of global tourism lies an 'invisible burden' of environmental and social costs that destinations must uncover and address.


Our challenge was to condense a complex, data-rich subject into a clear, accessible visual story that could quickly explain what the invisible burden is, why it matters, and how it can be managed.


With a fast turnaround and a focus on simplicity, we designed a clean, infographic-style animation that captured the report’s key insights and directed viewers to explore the full findings.


The result is a succinct, engaging piece that makes a critical sustainability issue visible, and one that has helped shape conversations around responsible tourism worldwide.
