We developed this short quietly in the background throughout 2023. It's an exploration of the emotional and technical journey of the creative process itself: the early rush of ideas, the spark of possibility, the inevitable descent into uncertainty and self-doubt, and the slow, deliberate climb back toward clarity.

It’s a story about tension... between vision and reality, inspiration and frustration, chaos and order. It’s also a reflection of what every project feels like for us: an adventure into the unknown, a journey of growth that ends (in a way) where it began; back home but transformed.

Exploring themes like this can easily tip into something overly earnest, but we think (or at least hope) we struck the right balance, bringing a playful, characterful edge through our unlikely hero: an innocuous little sphere.

The film went on to win Best Microfilm at the 2023 Top Shorts Film Festival. It was a lovely affirmation of what began just as a simple creative outlet.
