PROJECT TYPE:
Training Video Series
YEAR:
2023
We were commissioned by Aenor, on behalf of the European Commission, to visualise a series of legal training videos for influencers with EU customers.
Most influencers don’t realise it, but if they promote or sell products to EU consumers, they’re legally considered 'traders.' This training series was created to help them understand their rights and responsibilities under EU law. It was an important task, but not... er... the easiest subject to make exciting.
We were given tightly approved scripts, meticulously reviewed by legal experts. Our challenge was to bring them to life visually; making dense, technical information engaging and easy to digest for an audience largely new to the topic.
With a fixed budget and a huge amount of content to cover, efficiency and clarity were key. We designed a vibrant, characterful visual style built around six looping characters: each representing a different “type” of influencer, from vloggers and educators to gamers and beauty gurus. These characters, along with supporting on-screen graphics and icons, added warmth and energy to the material. Even during the inevitable list moments, our animated influencers kept things light by dancing and pointing enthusiastically. We hoped that a touch of personality and homour might just put a smile on someone's face.
It was a rewarding project to be part of. It was creatively and technically challenging but also meaningful; a small but important step in helping influencers understand the responsibilities that come with their reach.
